Gerri Steinagel, MD, completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology and a Master of Science degree in Biology prior to starting medical school. She graduated from the University of Nevada School of Medicine and did a year of residency in Pathology and then completed her Psychiatry Residency in 2001.

Dr. Steinagel has held past positions including Medical Director of Washoe Medical Center Inpatient Psychiatry unit, Northern Nevada Psychiatric Association President, and Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Nevada Reno.
