Dr. Wade, DNP, APRN-CNP is originally from California and moved to Reno over 21 years ago. Here, Dr. Wade earned two Master’s Degrees at the University of Nevada. One in the School of Education and one in the Orvis School of Nursing. Dr. Wade completed the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Degree at Orvis with her principal focus to identify useful, evidence-based
care with which to enrich and expand lives of patients with cancer and their family or support team through Psycho-oncology, adjustments to lifestyle issues, and provides general psychiatry care.
Dr. Wade, DNP is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission of Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Across the Lifespan) PMHNP-BC. She is a skilled Nurse Psychotherapist, specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and The Grief Recovery Method TM along with additional therapeutic approaches. In addition, Dr. Wade, DNP is Licensed in Nevada as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor who primarily works with persons in active recovery from substance use.
She prefers to collaborate with patients and their support team to bolster their abilities to live a meaningful and fulfilling life by addressing the needs of
the whole person including dietary changes, physical activity, and connection to their life values.

Dr. Wade, DNP enjoys all activities related to architecture, landscape architecture, art history, history, cultural activities, creativity, and is a maker of useful and beautiful items. Reno is a wonderful place to experience the four seasons and she plans to continue to provide empathetic care to patients for many years to come.
