ABOUT DR. DRYMALSKI

Dr. Susan Drymalski is a board certified psychiatrist who has been in practice since 2001. She started her private practice in October 2014 after working as a staff psychiatrist at the Reno VA Medical Center for 13 years.

Dr. Drymalski earned her MD from the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine in 1997. She completed her psychiatry residency training through the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Reno in 2001, and served as chief resident during her last year of training. She is a clinical adjunct assistant professor with the UNR Psychiatry Residency Program and was the residency coordinator for the Reno VA for many years. She has been certified with the American Society of Addiction Medicine since 2006.

Dr. Drymalski specializes in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders and has extensive experience in the treatment of substance abuse. She offers psychotherapy and medication management and her approach is holistic and collaborative. She has a special interest in Jungian psychology which examines the role of the unconscious in the development of psychiatric symptoms. Jungian psychotherapy may include the discussion of dreams, synchronicities, relationships and other life events in order to promote healing and personal growth.
